Visiting a church for the first time can feel like a big step. We understand that.
Maybe you’ve been part of a church for years. Maybe it’s been a long time since you attended. Or maybe you’re simply curious about Jesus and what Christians believe.
Wherever you are in your journey, there is a place for you to come, listen, ask questions, and get to know us.
At Wy’East Community Church, we’re not a gathering of perfect people. We’re neighbors, families, and friends who need God’s grace and want to grow together in faith.

We want your first visit to feel less like entering somewhere unfamiliar and more like being welcomed into a community.
Come as You Are
There’s no need to dress up or impress anyone. We want you to feel comfortable being yourself.
A Friendly Welcome
You’ll find people who are glad you’re here. We hope you’ll feel welcome without feeling singled out.
Worship Together
We gather to praise God through music, Scripture, and prayer. You’re welcome to participate or simply listen.
Teaching from the Bible
Our messages focus on God’s Word, the good news of Jesus Christ, and what it means to follow Him in everyday life.
Room for Questions
You don’t need to understand everything or have every answer. Exploring faith and growing in understanding are part of the journey.
Real Community
We’re people from different backgrounds and seasons of life, seeking to encourage one another and share the love of Christ.
Rooted in Scripture.
Growing in Grace.
Wy’East Community Church is a community of imperfect people following a perfect Savior.
We believe the good news of Jesus Christ offers forgiveness, hope, and new life.
Our desire is to know Him more deeply, live according to His Word, care for one another, and reflect His love throughout the Columbia River Gorge.
Whether you’re exploring Christianity, returning after years away, or looking for a church home, we invite you to get to know us.
Questions Before You Visit?
Here are a few things you might be wondering.
What should I wear?
Please come in clothing you’re comfortable wearing. You don’t need anything special to join us.
What if I haven’t been to church in a long time?
You’re welcome. Whether you’ve been away for months, years, or decades, you can come and simply be with us.
What if I’m not sure what I believe?
That’s okay. You’re welcome to listen, consider what Scripture says, and explore your questions without pretending to have everything figured out.
Will I be asked to stand up or introduce myself?
We want guests to feel comfortable, not put on the spot. Feel free to introduce yourself if you’d like, but there’s no expectation that you do so.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Many people visit a church on their own. You’re just as welcome whether you come alone, with a friend, or with family.
Do I have to become a member?
No. You’re invited to attend, get to know us, and explore what it means to follow Jesus. There’s no obligation to join.
There’s a Place for You Here.
Sometimes the hardest part of visiting a church is simply deciding to come.
You don’t have to know all the songs, understand every passage of Scripture, or have your life perfectly together.
Just come. Meet some people. Hear God’s Word. Take the next step in your journey of faith.
We’d be glad to welcome you this Sunday.
