Work as Worship
The Big Idea
Ordinary tasks can honor Christ when done faithfully.
Before You Read
Read Colossians 3:17, 23–24; 1 Corinthians 10:31 carefully. Ask the Lord to help you understand and respond to His Word.
Scripture
Colossians 3:17, 23–24; 1 Corinthians 10:31 — Open this passage in your preferred Bible translation. Read it once for the main message and again for important details.
What Do You Notice?
Paul invites believers to work wholeheartedly as for the Lord and to do all for God’s glory.
Understanding the Passage
Discipleship does not stop at the church door. Work, caregiving, home responsibilities, and volunteer service are places to practice integrity, patience, excellence, and love. Some tasks are unseen and receive little praise, yet the Lord sees them. Doing ordinary things for Christ changes our motives: we seek to serve rather than merely be noticed. Rest and limits matter too, because we are creatures, not machines.
Key Truth
Ordinary tasks can honor Christ when done faithfully.
