About Mountain Veteran Ministries
Where old-school values meet new-tech tools, and the eternal message of Jesus Christ travels down the digital highway.
Mountain Veteran Ministries is the Digital Discipleship and Biblical Learning Ministry of Wy’East Community Church in Odell & Pine Grove, Oregon — proclaiming Christ through every digital means available.
Where We Come From
Mountain Veteran Ministries exists for one simple reason: to help people find their way to Jesus — and for those who’ve drifted, to help them find their way back.
Not a version of Jesus filtered through a denomination’s politics, a preacher’s platform, or whatever’s trending this year — the actual Jesus of the Gospels. In a church landscape splintered into a thousand competing versions of Christianity, that kind of clarity is getting harder to find.
I’m Elder Don Bland. I served in Vietnam, and I’ve spent the years since learning what it means to walk with Christ through hard seasons rather than around them. Today I serve as an Elder at Wy’East Community Church in rural Oregon, teaching Scripture to people who are carrying real questions and looking for real answers.
This ministry has one mission: to spread the Gospel, to bring people to Jesus, and to bring people who’ve drifted back to Him. That means taking the hard questions seriously — not dodging them, not answering with slogans, but working through them with care, honest thought, and Scripture. If you’re hungry for answers that actually hold up, you’re in the right place.
Here you’ll find real Bible studies, honest devotionals, and straight answers to hard questions — anchored in Scripture, not trends.
Mountain Veteran Ministries exists to bridge the gap between timeless truth and modern communication. We’re blending front-porch hospitality with broadband reach — creating content that speaks plainly and powerfully to real people in real life.
