Come to Me

Jesus in His Own Words · Lesson 2 of 12

Come to Me

The Big Idea

Jesus invites weary people to find rest in Him.

Before You Read

Read Matthew 11:28–30 carefully. Ask the Lord to help you understand and respond to His Word.

Scripture

Matthew 11:28–30 — Open this passage in your preferred Bible translation. Read it once for the main message and again for important details.

What Do You Notice?

Notice the people Jesus calls, the rest He promises, and the yoke He asks them to take.

Understanding the Passage

The invitation is not a promise of a trouble-free life. Jesus offers rest for the soul under His gracious leadership. His yoke means learning from Him, not living without responsibility. We can bring the weight of guilt, effort, and striving to the One who is gentle and humble in heart. Rest grows as we stop trying to save ourselves and begin following Him.

Key Truth

Jesus invites weary people to find rest in Him.
